Developed, tested and proven to meet the demands of World Cup DH racers, the new Mavic Deemax DH mountain bike wheels now feature a 30 mm rim width for tyre widths from 2.35 to 3.0.

Mavic Deemax Super Boost 12x157mm rear wheel:

The Deemax Super Boost rear hub with a 12x157 mm thru-axle mounting dimension. These Super Boost rear wheels are only compatible with frames featuring a Super Boost 157 mm mounting width and cannot be converted. Not compatible with downhill frames featuring the older 12x157 mm mounting dimension, as these have different hub bodies

Mavic Deemax UST Disc rims:

The rims, with a 30 mm rim width made from high-strength Maxtal aluminium, offer excellent lateral stiffness thanks to their asymmetrical spoke pattern. Developed specifically for use on DH bikes, these rims are ultra-stable. The rim flanges are extremely puncture-resistant thanks to Pinch Flat Protection technology. The new Black Shield hardened rims are extra robust and scratch-resistant. Even in the event of punctures, the rims remain black at the damaged point. The rim flange is additionally welded and milled flat. Thanks to the asymmetrical rim design, braking and drive forces are absorbed evenly, which increases the service life. The Deemax rims are suitable for UST, tubeless tyres, Tubeless Ready tyres and standard tyres with an additional inner tube.

Mavic Deemax spokes:

High-strength stainless steel spokes offer very high strength and durability. Classically laced with standard nipples, the wheels can be trued and repaired quickly and easily. This is not insignificant given the intended use.

Mavic Instant Drive 360 Freehub Body

The Instant Drive 360 freehub system is super-light and ensures rapid power transfer with a mere 9-degree engagement angle. A large, contact-free rubber seal reduces friction. And a wide selection of axle stubs ensures compatibility with many mounting standards. The oversized aluminium axle and the hardened aluminium freehub body save 40 g. Two pawls ensure fast and loss-free engagement. A radial seal guarantees low friction at high speeds and perfect water resistance. This freehub body is easy to convert and is available as an HG10 version for Shimano 8-11-speed / SRAM 8-10-speed, SRAM XD 11- and 12-speed, and Shimano 12-speed Micro Spline

Mavic Deemax Applications:

Trail, Enduro, Gravity and DH. Suitable for use with disc brakes only. Approved by Mavic for riders up to 140 kg. These wheels can be ridden with genuine UST tyres, tubeless-ready tyres and also standard tyre-inner tube combinations.

• Mavic SRS: Spoke Retention System. The spoke seats on the hub body are specially milled to ensure the spoke head remains firmly anchored even under extreme conditions. The spoke still has sufficient play to provide adequate flexibility on rough terrain. Spokes remain securely anchored even under the harshest frontal loads. The wheel still offers sufficient flexibility.
• Mavic Black Shield Protection: the reinforced rim flanges are ultra-sturdy and puncture-resistant.
• Mavic Maxtal: This aluminium alloy, manufactured exclusively for Mavic, is 30 per cent stronger than 6106 aluminium. This means Maxtal rims can be super-light yet still sturdy.
• Mavic SUP: Soude Usine Process. A welded rim joint is more stable, prevents any brake judder and makes it easier to lace and true a perfect wheel.
