Mavic Deemax Park rims:
The wide rims (30 mm rim width) feature a triangular profile to absorb impacts and improve lateral stiffness. This gives you perfect control over your chosen line at all times. The new, wider central channel in the rim bed makes tyre fitting easier, even with the toughest and widest enduro and downhill tyres. Thanks to Pinch Flat Protection (PFP) technology, the tyre’s resistance to punctures increases by 20 per cent.
Mavic Deemax spokes:
The 28 curved spokes are ultra-sturdy, yet easy to replace if necessary. They are laced into the robust Mavic Classic hubs, which feature QRM Auto automatic bearing preload and the proven Instant Drive 360 freehub mechanism. Low maintenance means more time on the trail. All necessary spare parts are readily available.
Mavic Instant Drive 360 freehub body
The Instant Drive 360 freehub system is super-light and ensures rapid engagement with a contact angle of just 9 degrees. A large, non-contact rubber seal reduces friction. And a wide selection of axle stubs ensures compatibility with many mounting standards. The oversized aluminium axle and the hardened aluminium freehub body save 40 g. Two pawls ensure fast and loss-free engagement. A radial seal guarantees low friction at high speeds and perfect water resistance. This freehub body is easy to convert and is available as an HG10 version for Shimano 8-11-speed / SRAM 8-10-speed, SRAM XD 11- and 12-speed, and Shimano 12-speed Micro Spline
Mavic Deemax Park Application:
Bike park, trail, enduro and DH. Suitable for use with disc brakes only. Approved by Mavic for riders up to 180 kg. These wheels can be ridden with genuine UST tyres, tubeless-ready tyres and also standard tyre-inner tube combinations.
Mavic Deemax wheel technology:
- Mavic QRM Auto: Mavic’s top-of-the-range bearing technology: featuring a double seal and extremely dimensionally stable, self-aligning, and exceptionally torsionally rigid and durable, perfect for the long-lasting support of Mavic hubs.
- Mavic Instant Drive freehub body: the Instant Drive 360 freehub system is super-light and ensures rapid power transfer with a mere 9-degree engagement angle. A large, contact-free rubber seal reduces friction. And a wide selection of axle stubs ensures compatibility with many mounting standards. The oversized aluminium axle and hardened freehub body save 40 g. Two pawls ensure fast and loss-free power transfer. A radial seal guarantees low friction at high speeds and perfect water resistance. This freehub body is easy to convert and is available as an HG10 version for Shimano and SRAM 8–11-speed, SRAM XD 11-speed and 12-speed XG.
- Mavic SRS: Spoke Retention System. The spoke seats on the hub body are specially milled to ensure the spoke head remains firmly anchored even under extreme conditions. Yet the spoke still has enough play to provide sufficient flexibility on rough terrain. Spokes remain securely anchored even under the harshest frontal loads. The wheel still offers sufficient flexibility.
- Mavic SUP: Soude Usine Process. A welded rim joint is more stable, prevents any brake judder and makes it easier to lace and true a perfect wheel.
- Pinch Flat Protection: the contact surface of the rim flanges is particularly large, significantly reducing the risk of cuts and punctures to the tyre
