Aerodynamic, fast and lightweight, the Campagnolo Bora WTO wheels with 60 mm high full-carbon rims

Weighing just 1590 grams, with a 60 mm rim height, an elliptical wind tunnel-optimised rim shape and ceramic bearings, the high-end Campagnolo Bora WTO wheelsets offer a wide range of applications. The new Bora WTO wheelsets, featuring 60 mm high aerodynamic rims, are – as always with Campagnolo wheels – extremely lightweight and very stable. The non-drilled 2 Way Fit rims are tubeless-ready.

Carbon rims with a unidirectional surface and a rounded profile optimised in the wind tunnel, new aerodynamic aluminium hubs and a USB-cone ceramic bearing system. Every design decision has a single purpose: performance optimisation. The rim profile, with an internal width of 19 mm, provides a perfect match for tyres ranging from 23 to 35 mm. Thanks to 2-Way Fit technology, Campagnolo ensures full compatibility with both clincher and tubeless tyres. The rim base without holes, achieved through the patented Momag system, enables weight savings, increases stiffness and also aids the use of tubeless tyres: no sealant tape is required. Maintenance and cleaning of the wheel when changing tyres has never been easier.

The purpose of these wheels is extreme performance; the Campagnolo mantra is reliability: the G3 lacing pattern, with double the number of spokes on the left side of the front wheel, ensures balanced and safe braking in all conditions.

Campagnolo Bora WTO hubs:

The Bora WTO, featuring new monolithic hub bodies, is manufactured from aluminium according to aerodynamic principles and features an enlarged 33 mm pawl housing for even more efficient power transmission. The hub flange on the right-hand side of the rear wheel has an enlarged diameter to increase lateral stiffness. This enables uniform spoke tension, thereby significantly increasing durability. Adjustable ceramic ball bearings are used for the bearings. Thanks to external adjustment options, the hubs are easy to adjust and maintain. The new Bora hubs also require new freehub bodies, with a 33 mm pawl housing.

Campagnolo USB Ceramic Hub Bearings:

The Campagnolo Bora One wheelsets are fitted with USB ceramic bearings. These ensure Campagnolo’s signature silky-smooth ride and are easy to adjust thanks to new adjustment sleeves. The USB (Ultra Smooth Bearings) ceramic bearings improve smoothness and reduce weight as well as maintenance requirements. The USB bearings are 50 per cent smoother than standard bearings. The ceramic balls are extremely hard, wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant. The ceramic balls offer the highest geometric perfection and an extremely smooth surface, guaranteeing optimal rolling performance and precision fit. Furthermore, the ceramic balls are lighter and harder than steel balls.

Campagnolo Bora WTO 60 Rims 2 Way Fit:

2 Way Fit, Campagnolo’s proven tubeless system, forms the heart of the new wheelsets, specially developed to achieve perfect aerodynamics. The new full-carbon rims of the Bora WTO wheelsets, 26.5 mm wide, with a 19 mm rim depth and 60 mm height, ensure outstanding aerodynamics. The modern resin and carbon fibre technologies developed in-house by Campagnolo enable the spoke holes to be drilled. This preserves the integrity of the carbon fibre, improves safety and consequently guarantees the reliability of the rim. Among other things, these technologies not only guarantee the durability of the carbon and colour fastness thanks to high resistance to UV rays, but also make the subsequent application of a transparent coating unnecessary, as Campagnolo’s carbon wheels come straight from the mould with a resin coating that replaces the paintwork, thereby reducing weight. The carbon fibre construction with integrated Rim Dynamic Balance technology ensures an even more efficient wheel and adds a structural counterweight to what would otherwise be an unbalanced rotating mass caused by the tyre valve.

Campagnolo Bora spokes:

Stainless steel aero spokes and anti-rotation aluminium spoke nipples offer high stiffness, lightness and aerodynamics. The Mega G3 lacing pattern ensures perfectly balanced spoke tension and allows the Bora wheels to be used by heavier riders.
