Campagnolo Shirocco DB wheelset

The Campa Shirocco Disc wheelset features 33 mm high tubeless-ready rims and new hubs. The semi-aero 2 Way Fit rims with a 19 mm rim width are also suitable for wider tyres and are highly durable thanks to their cross-section. This makes them the recommended choice for stable and lightweight road, cyclocross and gravel wheels.

Campa Shirocco Disc Hubs:

The hubs are designed entirely as oversize hubs and feature an enlarged flange on the freehub side, as well as high-quality sealed industrial bearings. The monoblock freehub body combines the freehub body and pawl carrier into a single component, resulting in significant weight savings. The adjustable ball bearing system, made from high-quality steel, reduces friction and ensures long-term, consistent top performance. Simple and quick adjustment. Aluminium axles reduce the weight of the wheel. The hub’s exclusive manufacturing system allows for a spoke seat that is perfectly aligned with the tension line. Thanks to this solution, the same tension values are maintained at every point along the spoke, reducing stress on the rim and spokes. The Centerlock brake disc mount allows for the fitting of all disc systems, including 6-hole discs with an adapter. The hubs are convertible and available with quick-release or 12mm thru-axle mounts

Campa Shirocco spokes:

The number of aero spokes, now featuring straight heads and a tapered 2-1.6-2 cross-section, has been reduced to 16 on the front wheel and 21 on the rear wheel. The patented Campagnolo 2:1 Two-to-One Spoke Ratio lacing pattern is used for both the front and rear wheels.

Campa Shirocco rims

The rims are tubeless-ready; Campagnolo’s designation for this is 2 Way Fit. The 33 mm-high profile with reinforced eyelets results in an extra-stiff rim. The new 33 mm-high rim has been developed to achieve the best balance between aerodynamics, ease of handling and lightness. The 35 mm profile increases torsional and lateral stiffness compared to a conventional profile, thus allowing for greater stability at high speeds.
