The Aero 111 tyre is the perfect result of the collaboration between DT Swiss, Continental and Swiss Side. The patented tread with specially designed aero segments reduces air resistance and thus optimises the gliding effect. Continental Aero 111:

AERO 111: The next generation of aerodynamic road tyre performance, developed in close collaboration with the experts at DT Swiss and Swiss Side. The AERO 111 is based on the race-proven technologies of the GP5000 TR series and sets new standards in aerodynamics. The race-optimised Black Chili Compound ensures excellent grip and lower rolling resistance, whilst the proven Vectran Breaker provides puncture protection. The patented, aerodynamically optimised tread design features 48 precision-moulded air chambers. These so-called ‘vortex generators’ create controlled turbulence, causing the airflow to stay in contact with the rim for longer, which reduces drag and optimises handling in crosswinds.

DT Swiss AR 1600 Disc Rim:

30 mm height, Aero+ design and internal spoke nipples ensure optimum aerodynamics. The rim, with a 20 mm rim width, also allows for the fitting of wider tyres for maximum comfort. The high-quality rim with a welded rim joint is lightweight and stable. The Hooked / Crotchet tubeless TC rim profile keeps the tyres securely on the rim. The rims are supplied with tubeless rim tape already fitted.

DT Swiss Straight Pull Spokes:

To achieve an ideal balance between weight and stability, only the highest-quality straight-pull spokes are used in SPLINE wheelsets. They are more stable than conventional spokes yet can still be trued and replaced using standard tools.

DT Swiss 1600 Spline Disc Hubs:

The DT Swiss straight-pull hubs from the new 350 SL hub series, featuring the Ratchet SL system and Disc Centerlock brake disc mount, are exceptionally light and durable. The optimised hub shell for straight-pull spokes is designed for thru-axle mounting, and the DT Swiss 1600 Spline wheelsets can be converted to fit all common axle systems, including quick-release mounts.

DT Swiss Ratchet SL Freehub:

The proven DT Swiss Ratchet SL toothed freehub body system with 36 teeth allows for easy conversion to various axle or rotor standards. The multi-tooth ratchet freehub body with 36 teeth ensures loss-free power transmission. The rear hubs can be converted without tools to Campagnolo ED or N3W, Shimano HG or Micro Spline, and Sram XD or XDR freehub bodies.
