DT Swiss ER 1400 Dicut wheelset

The wheelsets for gravel and road bike use from the Dicut Aluminium series, with a 22 mm rim width and DT Swiss Dicut 240 EXP hubs.

The welded aluminium rim, made from a premium alloy, offers the ideal combination of strength and lightness, whilst the 22 mm internal rim width allows for the fitting of wider tyres, which can be ridden at lower pressures for exceptional grip on challenging terrain. The aerodynamic and lightweight 240 DICUT hub, featuring its patented ‘two spokes in one spoke hole’ technology, is driven by the reliable Ratchet EXP freehub system. All this ensures a speedy ride, so the miles fly by beneath you.

DT Swiss Dicut Disc Hubs:

The Dicut hubs are perfectly matched to the Nail Häd spoke system and offer optimum aerodynamics. Equipped with Swiss precision stainless steel ball bearings and a widened flange spacing for maximum lateral stiffness at a low weight. The ratchet body with Ratchet Star ratchet pawl is virtually maintenance-free and easy to convert to all standard cassette systems, including Shimano, SRAM and Campagnolo.

DT Swiss ER 1400 Dicut Disc rims:

The classic 25 mm high rims with a 22 mm rim width are very sturdy and perfectly designed for tyre widths of 25–40 mm. The rims are made from high-quality aluminium and offer an ideal balance of low weight and durability. Thanks to the 22 mm internal rim width, even wider tyres are supported even at low tyre pressures, ensuring a high level of riding comfort. Naturally, the rims are tubeless-ready.

DT Swiss Dicut spokes:

The lacing using the Nail Head System ensures that the spokes cannot twist under load, so the spokes always remain at the most aerodynamically favourable angle. Flatter and lighter than any others, the DT Swiss Aerolite spokes feature an aerodynamic flat profile and are extremely lightweight. On the freehub side of the Dicut wheels, the slightly heavier and even more stable DT Aerocomp spokes are fitted.

DT Swiss Ratchet EXP System:

Ratchet EXP is DT Swiss’s lightest freehub system and is therefore used in DT Swiss products designed for the most demanding requirements. The proven DT Swiss Star Ratchet System, in its new EXP version with the toothed disc freehub body, allows for easy conversion to various rotor standards. The Ratchet EXP requires fewer individual parts, as the toothed disc and threaded ring are combined. This reduces the weight of the system. Only a single guided spring is used, ensuring precise engagement.

Hooked / Crochet tubeless TC rims:

Hooked or Crotchet refers to the shape of the rim flange, which features a so-called hook. This supports the tyre bead and ensures reliable performance, even when using high tyre pressure > 5 bar. Tubeless means that the rim can be ridden without an inner tube, but a setup with an inner tube is also possible.
