The G-type disc pad is designed for current and older Shimano disc brakes with 2-piston calipers, including XTR, Deore, XT, SLX, LX, Deore and road bike Post Mount

.Disc pads with titanium backing plates, designed for XTR disc brakes. With these pads, Shimano has mounted conventional disc brake pads onto titanium plates. Whilst this offers only a slight weight saving, the titanium plates absorb heat better than steel backing plates. The metal brake pad offers the highest braking performance and is also the most durable. Our recommendation for heavy-duty use

The Shimano G-type and J-type brake pads are suitable for the same brake calipers
