Disc brake pads, Swiss Stop Disc28RS, extra quiet, 1 pair including springs and split pins for Shimano MTB, road bike and Alfine disc brakes with two-piston post-mount calipers
Disc Brake Pads SwissStop Disc 28 RS
The SwissStop RS disc pads offer powerful and consistent braking performance. The RS disc pads deliver strong braking performance and offer a balanced combination of features that are important for both racing cyclists and everyday riders. The RS pads are extremely quiet in all conditions. The compound is silent in wet, dry, snowy and icy conditions. The carrier plate, made from a steel alloy and just 1.6 mm thick, saves weight compared to traditional designs – yet retains the beneficial thermal properties as well as the strength and stability of steel. The thinner carrier plate is fitted with additional pad compound, thereby extending the service life of the disc pad.
SwissStop Disc 28 RS Features:
- Consistently quiet in use
- Transparent feel at the lever

IMPORTANT: The brake pads must be bedded in to achieve optimum braking power and durability
Step 1: On a moderately steep descent, apply the front and rear brakes alternately for 20–30 seconds. Repeat
this process 2–3 times.
Step 2: On a steeper descent, let both brakes drag alternately for 10–15 seconds each, stopping the bike almost completely. Repeat
this process 2–3 times.
Pro tip: Break in the rear brake pads on the front wheel. Follow the procedure described above. Then fit the pads to the rear. On a flat surface, let them run briefly 2–3 times. Caution: Before replacing the pads, ensure they have cooled down sufficiently: risk of burns!
