Centerlock brake disc, Shimano XTR RT CL900 E, Ice Tech Freeza, 180 mm diameter, including lock ring, external bolt-on mounting
Shimano RT CL900 Centerlock brake disc
The new Shimano XTR RT-CL900 Ice Tech Centerlock brake discs: quieter control on any terrain. These lightweight brake discs, featuring heat-dissipating painted, protruding aluminium layer segments, deliver excellent cooling performance, consistent braking power and smoother operation in all conditions. Quieter than ever before, yet with first-class and reliable braking performance on all long, steep descents thanks to excellent heat dissipation. When developing the new brake disc, the aim was to prevent heat-induced warping. The result is incredibly quiet braking performance without compromising on weight or heat dissipation.

Shimano Ice Technologies:
Ensures rapid heat dissipation in combination with the FREEZA brake disc design. This results in more consistent braking performance under extreme conditions, extends the service life of the brake pads and reduces loss of braking power and braking noise. The aluminium core is encased in the steel braking surface. This reduces heat build-up by a good 25 per cent and increases the stability of Shimano MTB disc brakes. The redesigned Ice Tech Freeza brake discs at Deore, GRX and Ultegra level, RT-CL800, have been engineered to ensure maximum heat dissipation, resulting in more consistent braking performance and longer pad life.
