Running-in the brake pads:

During the bedding-in process, microscopic imperfections are filled in and the brake pad can out-gas. This is the only way to achieve maximum friction, ensure even wear and eliminate the initial squeaking. It is important that the bedding-in process is not carried out too hard or too abruptly. Find a flat stretch of road with little traffic and accelerate to 25–30 km/h. Brake gently but firmly, stopping just short of a complete halt. We recommend 30 repetitions to achieve maximum braking torque. Repeat the bedding-in process regularly, depending on the road surface, to maintain optimal braking power.
