Avid Ultimate Shorty Cross Brake

High-end cantilever brakes for cyclocross bikes and high-quality touring bikes. Compatible only with road bike brake levers or cantilever levers, not V-brake levers.

The Avid Ultimate Shorty brakes can be fitted in two brake arm positions: with arms set wide apart, as is common on cyclocross bikes, or close-fitting like classic cantilever brakes. To do this, two pins are removed from the brake, the brake arm is then set to the desired position, and the pins are reinserted.

Extremely sturdy, CNC-machined brake bodies made from high-quality aluminium. A wide contact surface on the brake pads and extremely sturdy brake arms ensure a very well-defined bite point.
