Magura HS 22 brake
Braking performance is the core strength of every HS brake – the redesigned 14 mm master cylinder piston and the 100 per cent reliable MAGURA Royal Blood mineral oil guarantee powerful braking force and excellent modulation under all conditions, for which MAGURA’s hydraulic rim brakes rightly receive top marks across the board. Thanks to the TPA Turbo Pad Adjuster, compensating for brake pad wear is also tool-free and child’s play. But ergonomics haven’t been neglected either; on the contrary, the 3-finger brake lever scores highly with the ergonomics of the latest MT disc brakes. The latest insights from the test winner were also incorporated, such as the new tool-free, 3-stage grip width adjustment. And all this is enhanced with a touch of high-tech – the brake lever, brake lever and handlebar clamp are made entirely from Carbotecture and even save 10 grams per brake compared to the entry-level HS11. Thanks to Easy Bleed filling and the option to shorten the hose at the brake lever, the HS22 is particularly easy to fit, which benefits both retailers and manufacturers alike.
Changing the brake pads is simple and can be done in a matter of minutes, without tools. The alternative to V-brakes or as a rear brake in combination with a disc brake, if the frame itself does not have a disc brake mount.
Magura Easy Mount technology
The Easy Mount standard offers the following advantages: simple installation and improved handling thanks to three independent adjustment options, resulting in a time saving of approximately 25 per cent compared to standard EVO 2 installation. The Easy Mount technology also offers you child’s play adjustment when swapping rims for wider or narrower ones; wobble encountered during a ride can be just as easily corrected by slightly loosening the top bolt and making a stepless adjustment using the Easy Mount lever.
