The Shimano CS HG 800 cassette, featuring two large sprocket blocks on an aluminium spider, offers Shimano’s outstanding smooth shifting performance combined with low weight and long-lasting durability. Shimano offers replacement sprockets for these cassettes. This means that if only a few sprockets are worn out, they can be replaced at a reasonable cost.

The road bike cassettes in the Shimano 11-speed series are not compatible with older Shimano rear freehub bodies. Mavic freehub bodies are compatible with the 11-speed cassettes; Campagnolo, DT Swiss, Fulcrum and Shimano wheelsets are 11-speed compatible from the 2013 version onwards. Replacement freehub bodies are available for some older wheelsets.
