Shimano Dura Ace CS-R9200 Cassette

The Dura Ace 12-speed cassette from the Di2 9200 series, also compatible with classic HG11 freehub bodies.

The 12-speed Dura Ace cassettes, with their close-ratio gearing up to the 19-tooth sprocket, guarantee the perfect gear ratio at all times and are also perfectly suited to mountain riding. Shimano relies on large chain wrap angles for its 12-speed drivetrains. This ensures highly efficient power transfer and smooth operation. Naturally, this also improves the drivetrain’s durability. The tried-and-tested CNM9100 chains are used.

The new Di2 platform for the 12-speed components requires no cable connection to the rear derailleur and front derailleurs. The Di2 Dual Control shift levers ST-R8170 have the necessary wireless module integrated. Power is supplied by CR1632 batteries, which have a service life of up to 2 years. The Di2 12-speed rear derailleur, with its additional wireless unit, acts as a receiver and distributor of shift signals and is connected to the battery and front derailleur for power supply and shift command transmission. Additional wireless components, including those from third-party manufacturers, can also be paired with the rear derailleur.

The Shimano Dura Ace CSR9200 cassette, featuring two large sprocket blocks and titanium sprockets on an aluminium spider, offers Shimano’s outstanding smooth shifting performance combined with low weight and long-lasting durability. Shimano offers replacement sprockets for these cassettes. This means that if only a few sprockets are worn out, they can be replaced cost-effectively.

The new Hyperglide+ cassettes set new standards for shifting thanks to smooth gear changes across the entire gear range. Even when applying maximum force on climbs or sprinting to the finish line, riders no longer need to worry about changing gears. In all gears, the Dura-Ace R9200 drivetrain ensures maximum efficiency thanks to larger teeth. Despite their expansion to 12 speeds without adding weight, Dura-Ace CS-R9200 cassettes set new standards for road bike drivetrains.

The 12-speed cassettes are compatible with both the new HG12 and the previous HG11 freehub bodies. The new 12-speed freehub bodies feature finer teeth. This allows for a significantly better connection between the cassette and the freehub body.
