The Eagle 70 chain offers all the benefits of our T-Type flat-top design, as found on most other premium Eagle transmission drivetrains. As a fully e-MTB-compatible chain, the Eagle 70 is robust, durable and ready for any ride.

SRAM FlatTop chains:

To offer a wider gear range with smaller steps, the chain needs to be narrower. With the FlatTop chain, SRAM has added material to the flat side of the outer plate to make each individual link more stable. The rivets, inner plates and bushings are hard-chromed; this extends the chain’s lifespan and improves shifting performance even after many kilometres. Furthermore, the bushings on FlatTop chains are larger, which is why they last longer and offer the same efficiency as 11-speed drivetrains. All these technologies mean that the narrower SRAM 12-speed chains last 36 per cent longer than 11-speed chains.
