The Shimano XT FCM 770-10 crankset.

The Shimano XT crankset for the new 10-speed Dyna-Sys MTB series. Featuring smaller gear steps on the crankset (24, 32, 42) and, optionally, a cassette with a 36-tooth sprocket as the largest cog. This allows Shimano to achieve a significantly smoother gear progression with exceptionally high performance.

The middle chainring sits on a carbon carrier and has drilled steel teeth. Despite the weight saving, Shimano promises 100 per cent greater durability for the most frequently used chainring. The new crank arms and spider are slimmer and lighter.

Compatible with 10-speed MTB drivetrains only. The bottom bracket is the same as on the FCM 770 9-speed cranksets.
