Shimano FC M782 3x10-speed crankset

The triple Shimano XT crankset for 29-inch and 650b bikes. Featuring smaller gear steps on the 22/30/40 crankset and, optionally, a cassette with a 36-tooth sprocket as the largest cog. This allows Shimano to achieve a significantly smoother gear progression with exceptionally high performance.

The middle chainring sits on a composite carrier and has drilled steel teeth. Despite the weight saving, Shimano promises 100 per cent greater durability for the most frequently used chainring. The new crank arms and spider are slimmer and lighter.

Shimano Dyna-Sys 10-speed component technology, featuring a 10-speed cassette and 40-30-22-tooth chainrings, enables a much closer gear ratio, resulting in smoother and faster gear changes. Thanks to the chainring spacing and the 10-speed cassette, the rider can stay on the middle chainring for significantly longer. At the same time, the shifts to the small chainring are less abrupt. This makes shifting down to the small chainring an almost seamless process. Stable, continuous power transfer can be maintained at a constant cadence. Similarly, shifting to the large chainring also involves only a smaller shift, which means you will increasingly choose the larger chainring.
