Shimano XTR FC-M970 Crankset

As a pioneer in high-quality MTB crankset manufacturing, Shimano has once again raised the bar significantly for high-end cranksets. Like its predecessor, the XTR FC-M970 crankset is hollow-sectioned from Ultra Dural aluminium. The angular design with a polished outer surface provides additional stiffness.

The heavily loaded middle chainring sits on a carbon support, whilst the teeth themselves are made of titanium. This ensures a significantly longer service life for the chainrings. The large and small chainrings are made of 7075 aluminium. The 44-tooth chainring offers maximum lateral stiffness thanks to its pronounced support.
