Bottom Bracket Wheels Manufacturing
These threaded bottom brackets from Wheels Manufacturing allow MTB and road cranksets with 30 mm BB30 axles to be fitted into frames with Pressfit 30, Specialized Carbon OSBB and BBRight bottom bracket shells with a width of 61–79 mm and a press-fit depth of 46 mm.
Unlike other press-fit bottom brackets, the Wheels Manufacturing threaded cups are screwed together. This has the major advantage that the bottom bracket shell sits very securely and absolutely parallel within the frame. This ensures a long service life for the bottom bracket. The bottom bracket cups are made from high-strength aluminium.
Wheels Enduro ABEC3 ball bearings:
The Wheels Enduro ABEC3 ball bearings offer very high precision. The balls are twice as round as standard industrial bearings, with a roundness tolerance of 10 / 1,000,000. The ball material, 52100 high-carbon chromium alloy, is extremely robust and specially hardened. It is also polished to a high gloss.
30 mm crank axles:
Cranks with a continuous 30 mm axle are offered by various manufacturers, e.g. the Cane Creek eeWings, FSA BB386EVO, e*thriteen, Race Face Cinch 30, Sram EVO 386, Rotor 30 and White Industries models. These crank axles are longer than those of BB30 cranks and can therefore also be fitted to frames with bottom bracket shells 79–92 mm wide.
BB30 crank axles 30 mm:
BB30 cranks with a continuous 30 mm axle are available from various manufacturers. These crank axles are shorter than the axles of EVO30 cranks and can therefore also be fitted to frames with bottom bracket shells that are only 61–79 mm wide.

Wheels Outboard bottom bracket compatibility:
Compatible with BB30 cranksets and DZero BB30 power meters. Shimano Hollowtech II and Sram GXP cranksets can also be fitted using the adapters (item nos. BBUNIV-SHIM and BBUNIV-SRAM). The Wheels WRENCH-BB48-44 tool is required for installation. The standard Hollowtech tool does not fit
Pressfit 30 / 68–73 bottom bracket shells:
Pressfit 30 bottom bracket shells have a width of 73 to 68 mm and a press-fit dimension for the bottom bracket of 46 mm. These bottom brackets are pressed in. With Wheels or Cane Creek bottom brackets, the bearing sleeves are screwed together and thus pulled into the bottom bracket shell. This is the significantly more durable method of installation, as the bearings are additionally secured by the bearing sleeve.
BBright bottom bracket shells:
BBright bottom bracket shells have a width of 79 mm and a press-fit dimension for the bottom bracket of 46 mm. These bottom brackets are press-fitted. With Wheels Threaded or Cane Creek bottom brackets, the bottom bracket cups are screwed together and thus pulled into the bottom bracket shell. This is the significantly more durable assembly method, as the bearings are perfectly secured within the frame by the bottom bracket cups.
Specialized Carbon OSBB bottom bracket shell
The Specialized Carbon OSBB bottom bracket shells have a width of 61 mm and a press-fit dimension for the bottom bracket of 46 mm. Additionally, a spacer set comprising 2 x 2.5 mm and 1 x 1 mm spacers is required, item no. SP0001. These bottom brackets are press-fitted. With Wheels or Cane Creek bottom brackets, the bearing sleeves are screwed together and thus pulled into the bottom bracket shell. This is the significantly more durable method of assembly, as the bearings are additionally secured by the bearing sleeve.
