Shimano Deore XT Crankset FC-M8200

The DEORE XT FC-M8200 crankset offers a perfect balance of stiffness and weight. Hollow-forged HOLLOWTECH II aluminium crankarms and a 24 mm standard steel axle result in a crankset that is sturdy enough to withstand hard impacts yet light enough for XC use. With crank arm lengths of 160–175 mm and the reinforced direct-mount SM-CR86 chainring in all sizes, there is an FC-M8200 to suit every trail rider.

• Enduro durability: The perfected HOLLOWTECH II hollow-forging process ensures optimal weight, stiffness and strength for all-day use on the trail and in enduro races.
• Q-factor/chainline: The optimised 176 mm Q-factor offers a familiar race feel, whilst the standard 55 mm chainline ensures maximum frame compatibility – no need to change wheels or cassettes.
• Compatibility: The M8200 cranksets come standard with a 24 mm axle and are compatible with SHIMANO threaded and press-fit bottom brackets.

Shimano Direct Mount chainring mount:

The crank arms feature the Shimano Direct Mount chainring mount. This allows the chainrings to be changed easily. The TL-FC41 tool is required for removing and fitting the chainring. All single-chainring setups with the Shimano Direct Mount mount can be fitted, e.g. the XT SMCRM86 and the XTR SMCRM96
