Shimano XT HB M8110 Boost Hub

The new Shimano XT 12-speed components, designed for use ranging from cross-country to enduro. The XT components designated 8100 are designed for 1x12 and 1x12-speed drivetrains. The legendary durability and performance of XT MTB parts is now also available in 12-speed. The new Deore XT M8100 series boasts a host of technical highlights, including Shimano’s groundbreaking 12-speed Micro Spline cassettes, available with a range of 10-45T or 10-51T, 1x12- or 2x12-speed Hollowtech II cranksets, powerful two- and four-piston brakes, I-Spec EV shifters, high-precision 12-speed rear derailleurs and front derailleurs, Ice Tech Frezza brake discs with their outstanding heat dissipation, as well as the WH-M8100 and WH-M8120 wheelsets for XC and enduro use.

Shimano XT M8110 hubs:

With the Deore XT hubs, Shimano offers classic tapered-bearing MTB hubs that are extremely durable and easy to maintain. Super-polished raceways and balls, double high-performance seals and easy adjustability ensure years of riding enjoyment. Recommended for a wide range of applications from MTB to gravel and touring, the XT hubs provide a solid foundation for high-quality wheelsets. The Boost front hub is designed for forks with 15x110 mm Boost thru-axles. The Shimano XT hubs cannot be converted to other mountings.

Boost QR 15x110 mm standard:

This thru-axle standard requires wider hubs. The wider hub shell with the flanges positioned further out enables wheelsets with greater lateral stiffness. On Boost hubs, the brake disc mount is also positioned further out. Consequently, these hubs cannot be fitted to forks with a QR15x100 mm mounting dimension.
