Shimano XT FD-M8025 front derailleur, E-Type S3-Low direct mount, down pull, 11x2-speed
Shimano XT FD M8025 front derailleur
The new Shimano XT 11-speed components, designed for use ranging from cross-country to enduro. Available with a crankset featuring 1–3 chainrings and an 11-speed cassette with a 11–40 or 11–42 tooth range. One of the major advantages of the XT 8000 series is the compatibility of the cassettes with conventional rear wheels. The XT 11-speed cassettes can be fitted to all freehubs designed for 9- and 10-speed Shimano MTB cassettes.
Shimano XT FD-M8025 front derailleur:
The XT 11x2-speed front derailleurs FD-M8025, perfectly matched to the new 11-speed XT components, offer outstanding shifting performance.
Shimano XT FD-M8025 front derailleur compatibility:
The Shimano 11-speed XT front derailleur series is only compatible with the 11-speed MTB rear derailleurs and shift levers from the XT 8000 and XTR 9000 series. The HG-800 chain is recommended. The 11-speed XT cassettes are also compatible with 9-10-speed Shimano-compatible freehub bodies.
E-Type S3/Low direct mount derailleurs:
These derailleurs are mounted either directly onto frames designed for this purpose; the bolt spacing is 22.1 mm horizontally and, unlike the S2 derailleurs, features an offset at the mounting point. The second mounting method is the Shimano E-Type. This requires the additional mounting plate, part no. Y5M550000. For both mounting methods, the respective frame must be prepared by the manufacturer.
