Shimano XT M8000 conversion kit
The Shimano XT 11-speed kit, designed for use ranging from cross-country to enduro. One of the major advantages of the XT 8000 series is the compatibility of the cassettes with conventional rear wheels. The XT 11-speed cassettes can be fitted to all freehubs designed for 9- and 10-speed Shimano MTB cassettes.

The new, slimmer design, fluorine-coated stainless steel bushings and extremely precise machined fits ensure high shifting precision and a long service life.
Shimano XT SL-M8000 Rapidfire shift lever:
The XT Rapidfire 11-speed shift levers SL-M-8000. The further optimised, ergonomic design of the Shimano XT SL M8000 Rapidfire shift levers literally takes shifting to a new level. The shift levers feature a dual-textured, non-slip surface and are equipped with all the latest high-end technologies such as Multi-Release, Instant-Release and 2-Way-Release. The Shimano XT SL M8000 shift levers are available with clamp mounting and for direct mounting (I-Spec).
The I Spec direct mount is available in two versions: as I Spec Type II, compatible with the brake levers of the Shimano XT and XTR disc brakes BLM 8000/8020 and BLM 9000/9020 with I Spec II clamps. Alternatively, the I-Spec B version is available for disc brakes from the older series: BLM780, BLM980, BLM820 and BLM670.
Shimano I-Spec II installation:
The Shimano XT SL M8000 shift levers are suitable for direct mounting (I-Spec Type II) on the brake levers of Shimano XT and XTR disc brakes (BLM 8000/8020 and BLM 9000/9020) with I-Spec II clamps. This mounting system allows for space-saving installation of the shift levers directly onto the brake lever clamp. Shimano has changed the I-Spec mount on the 11-speed systems; the XT SLM8000 I-Spec II levers are not compatible with older I-Spec systems.
Shimano I-Spec B Mounting:
The Shimano XT SL M8000 shift levers are suitable for direct mounting (I-Spec Type B) on Shimano disc brake levers with the I-Spec B clamp. This mounting system for the older BLM780, BLM820, BLM670 and BLM980 disc brake levers allows for space-saving installation of the shift levers directly onto the brake lever clamp. Shimano changed the I-Spec mount to Type B for the 2014 system. You can recognise this by the ‘B’ suffix in the lever designation. Older Shimano I-Spec shift levers can be combined with the new I-Spec B brake levers using the new I-Spec B adapters: SM-SL98-B, SM-SL78-B and SM-SL82-B.
Shimano XT CS-M8000 cassette:
The Shimano XT 11-speed CS-M8000 cassette, available with 11-40, 11-42 or 11-46 teeth, offers an exceptionally wide gear range. At the same time, the XT 11-speed cassette is also very evenly spaced. Thanks to the Rhythm Step spacing, it enables precisely calculated gear changes without large, noticeable jumps or gaps, which saves power and energy and helps maintain your flow on the trail in all situations.
Shimano XT CN-HG700 HG-X11 chain:
The Shimano XT chain for the new 11-speed Dyna-Sys MTB series. Manufactured from high-quality and particularly robust zinc alloy, the Shimano XT 11-speed chain is also extremely durable. For perfect shifting performance, the chain is directional, with the inner chain plates specially shaped for fast and smooth shifting. The special asymmetrical HG-X11 outer and inner links, combined with Shimano’s SIL-TEC surface coating, minimise friction, optimise performance and also reduce dirt build-up.
