Campa Chorus groupset
The Chorus 12x2-speed groupset, optionally available with mechanical rim brakes and bottom bracket.
Campagnolo Chorus 12-speed:
Developed for road racing to gravel use, the new Campagnolo Chorus components cover a very wide range of applications with three crankset options, from classic road racing to gravel biking. Equipped with the technology of the Record 12-speed components, the Chorus offers a high-quality and affordable entry point into the Campagnolo 12-speed drivetrain world.
Campagnolo Chorus 12s rear derailleur
The new Chorus rear derailleur benefits from the same technology and design as Campagnolo’s top-of-the-range models, combining the refinement and performance of the 12-speed Super Record and Record. With just a few minor changes to the materials used in its construction, such as the connecting rod and the outer aluminium cage, the Chorus version offers exactly the same performance as the two more expensive groupsets, whilst adding only a few grams to its weight. Chorus incorporates the same high-end technology, such as a new optimised trajectory on larger cassettes and the fantastic 3D EMBRACE technology. The latest development of Embrace technology not only keeps the rear derailleur vertically in the perfect position for every sprocket but also moves the upper pulley perfectly forwards along the bike’s direction of travel. The 3D EMBRACE technology and the 12-tooth pulleys ensure that the rear derailleur fits all cassettes, as the spacing remains optimal for every single sprocket, regardless of the cassette selected.
Campagnolo Chorus 12s front derailleur
The precise and extremely smooth operation of the derailleur is achieved, on the one hand, by the new cables and their housings and, on the other, by the design and construction of the 2x12-speed derailleur. The new Chorus front derailleur features the same design that separates the upper from the lower semi-link, thereby preventing play and enabling a more direct and responsive shifting action when shifting up. The design of the 2x12-speed front derailleur and its movement angle allow the use of tyres up to 32 mm wide, whilst the new fork design and the specific positions for each rear derailleur position make the front derailleur’s performance extremely precise and smooth.
Campagnolo Chorus Ergopower 12s shift-brake levers
The fantastic ergonomics that have become something of a hallmark for Campagnolo over the years have been further improved with the recent introduction of the Super Record and Record 12-speed drivetrains. The new standard, which is not only ergonomic but also customisable, is carried forward in the design of the Chorus levers. Apart from the aluminium brake lever with a coating that enhances the finish and feel when in contact with the hand, the Ergopower Chorus levers are almost identical to those of the Super Record and Record brake-shift levers. Ergonomic features such as the new design of the hand guard rubber, the brake lever design and the larger drivetrain levers are combined with features that make the shape of the Ergopower brake-shift levers unique to the cyclist’s needs. The Ergopower brake-shift lever offers various positions for better adaptation to different hand sizes. Campagnolo’s proven ‘one-lever, one-action’ philosophy ensures that there is no confusion when operating the controls, regardless of the conditions or the rider’s position. The internal Ultra-Shift mechanism controls the 12-speed rear derailleur, allowing the rider to shift down up to 5 sprockets or up 3 sprockets with a single movement. Thanks to the same new cables and their housings, the Chorus brake-shift levers offer the same extremely durable and smooth shifting performance as other 12-speed groupsets.
Optional Campagnolo Chorus 12S brakes
Stiffness, robustness and weight savings are the key features of the Chorus Skeleton brakes. The Skeleton geometry has enabled weight reduction without compromising braking power. Reliability is fully maintained. Differentiated geometry between front and rear brakes to ensure performance and modulation. The classic rim brakes with a central bolt for frame/fork mounting are compatible with all mechanical brake levers.
or Campagnolo Direct Mount brakes:
Campagnolo does not offer any special Direct Mount brakes for the Chorus groupset. We offer the front and rear brakes for fork/seatstay mounting from the Dual Pivot series; the rear brake for bottom bracket mounting is only available from the more expensive Record series. Unlike classic rim brakes, direct mount brakes are mounted to the frame using two bolts. This mounting method requires two threaded holes in the frame to accommodate the brakes. For the rear brake, there are two different mounting points: on the seat stays and beneath the bottom bracket/chainstays. Different brakes are required for these two mounting points.
Campagnolo Chorus 12s crankset
The robust Chorus 12x2-speed crankset can be fitted to all frame models, whether equipped with disc brakes or other types of brakes, as it optimises the chainline on frames with a rear dropout width of 130, 135 or 142 mm without compromising the Q-factor, which remains at 145.5 mm. The new Chorus crankset is a true distillation of technology and versatility. It is technically advanced because it utilises construction technology with a unidirectional arrangement of carbon fibres, which is obtained directly from the mould without surface coating, and, like the Record crankset, uses the Ultra-Torque steel bottom bracket axle. It is versatile because its new 123 mm bolt circle, whilst offering a structure with extreme performance, ensures a wider range of applications. The new, reduced bolt circle of the Chorus crankset, available with crank arm lengths of 165, 170, 172.5 and 175 mm, makes it compatible with 52/36-tooth, 50/34-tooth chainrings and the latest 48/32-tooth sprockets.
Campagnolo Record Ultra Torque bottom brackets
The bearing cups for the Ultra Torque system feature a new anti-corrosion treatment and new seals. The bearings themselves are included with the cranks. Compatible with all Campagnolo Ultra Torque cranks; see the compatibility list below.
Campagnolo Chorus 12-speed cassette
With the new Chorus groupset, which offers full compatibility with the cassettes introduced with the Super Record and Record 2x12-speed groupsets (11-29 and 11-32), a new cassette specification, 11-34, is now available, compatible only with Chorus 12-speed rear derailleurs. The new 11-34 cassette offers cyclists even greater versatility and more choice and flexibility in terms of usable gear ratios.
The new 12-speed cassettes feature thinner sprockets, a smaller footprint and unchanged dimensions compared to the 11-speed sprockets. The new 12th sprocket enables linear upshifting or downshifting, with only one tooth skipped up to the seventh position, allowing the cyclist to find the optimal gear in all conditions.Furthermore, the adjacent sprockets ensure even faster, quieter and more precise shifting, thanks to the special tooth shape and surface treatment, which also extends service life. The six largest sprockets are also offered as two three-piece sets, each consisting of a single steel component, thereby minimising energy loss. Thanks to the spacers of the same thickness, cassette installation is straightforward.
Campagnolo Chorus 12-speed chain
Thanks to special steel, the Campagnolo Chorus chain is extremely durable. The Ultra-Link chain locking system guarantees durability and optimal performance on the 12s sprockets. The chain pins of the Super Record 12s chain are hollow on the inside to reduce weight without compromising durability. The special tool UT-CN300 is required for installation.
The Campagnolo Chorus groupset is not eligible for further discounts.
