Campa Super Record 12s Titanium Crankset

The high-end full-carbon Campagnolo Record 12s crankset with titanium axle, Cult Ceramic bearings and Ultra Torque axle technology. The new Super Record 12x2-speed crankset can be fitted to all frame models, with disc brakes or other types of brakes, as it is optimised for chainlines on frames with a rear dropout of 130, 135 or 142 mm, without compromising the Q-factor, which remains at 145.5 mm.

Campagnolo also offers two sprocket sets for the 12-speed components, covering all applications. With 11-29 and 11-32 tooth configurations, you get closely spaced cassettes that are also suitable for extreme mountain rides.

The new right-hand cranks of the Record carbon-fibre crankset utilise Ultra-Hollow Structure technology and feature a chainring mount with a highly innovative shape. The four arms stem from the need to stiffen the crankset in the areas where the chain changes gears, whilst the connections between the arms and the crank are structurally designed to enable the best possible power transfer to the chain. Each arm provides a double mounting point for the chainrings, with two bolt circles identical for all gear combinations. The 8-bolt clamping system, developed by the Campy Tech Lab™ product development team, thus optimises the torsional and flexural stiffness of the entire crankset, increasing the value of the previous version by 12 per cent. Nevertheless, weight is kept low through the use of an even greater quantity of carbon fibre, which extends to the point where the larger chainring is attached to the arms. The left-hand cranks, also made of carbon fibre, differ from one another in their internal structure, creating a weight difference between the models in the range, but guaranteeing maximum stiffness across all versions.

The tried-and-tested system with Hirt threading ensures an extremely stable connection between the two titanium axle halves. As the connection of the axle lies exactly in the centre – and thus in the part of the axle construction subjected to the highest load – the forces exerted are absorbed optimally. The bolted connection, combined with the increased axle material, reliably prevents twisting, even with stronger and/or heavier riders. Therefore, despite the titanium axle, there are no restrictions regarding rider/system weight.

Campagnolo X-P.S.S.

Extreme Performance Shifting System for the chainrings. The exclusive design of the zones for upshifting and downshifting the chain. The special profiles of the teeth and the areas for upshifting and downshifting the chain enable precise and rapid shifting of the front derailleur in all conditions. Also compatible with the electronic ESP drivetrain. The X.P.S.S. chainring design features 8 engagement pins and shifting grooves for upshifting and two for downshifting. This system allows for effective, smooth and fast shifting between the chainrings. The chainring mounting system, whereby the chainring bolts are screwed directly into the small chainring, enables quick installation of the individual chainrings. It is lighter and makes this connection stable, rigid and secure. The chainrings are hard-anodised for improved wear resistance and resistance to salt corrosion. To save weight, the chainring bolts are made of aluminium.

Campagnolo Cult Ceramic Bearings:

the Cult Ceramic Ultimate Level Technology ceramic bearings enhance smoothness and reduce weight as well as maintenance requirements. The CULT bearings combine ceramic balls with stainless steel raceways, which are among the best on the market and represent the outstanding technology that characterises Campagnolo products. The ceramic balls reduce friction to a minimum and ensure performance remains consistent over time; the stainless steel raceways, with their thermochemical surface treatment, make the bearing’s sliding surface extremely hard and wear-resistant. Campagnolo’s solution, covered by special patents, minimises friction thanks to two features that only CULT technology can offer: a thin film of oil instead of conventional grease as the lubrication system, and a structure that is impervious to dirt. As a result, Campagnolo components featuring CULT technology do not require dust protection. Furthermore, the ceramic balls are lighter and harder than steel balls.

Campagnolo Ultra Torque

The Ultra Torque axle system consists of two axle halves that are screwed together via spur gears. This connection is extremely durable and easy to assemble. Bearing cups suitable for all common bottom bracket types are available for this axle system, from BSA threaded to Pressfit 30
