The immediate engagement of the shift levers allows the front derailleur and rear derailleur to be operated with minimal effort from any handlebar position. The appearance of the Record Ergopower for rim brakes, made from unidirectional carbon fibres, conveys performance, stiffness and reliability. Depending on hand size, riders can adjust two different distances between the lever and the handlebars on these new Ergopower levers without compromising braking performance, as the new angle of the upshift lever prevents any contact with the handlebar bend. The lever position is adjusted easily and securely by direct operation of the controls. Vari-Cushion technology ensures an ergonomic resting position and a comfortable, secure grip. The ‘one lever-one action’ function assigns a specific function to each lever to prevent shifting errors. With the Ultra-Shift mechanism, you can shift up by 3 sprockets and down by up to 5 at the same time. The double curvature of the new Super Record 12x2 Speed Rim Brake levers improves grip and thus safety.

The Ultra-Shift Ergopower brake-shift levers, fitted to the Record groupset, offer an ideal hand rest and allow up to 5 gears to be shifted at once. The carbon-fibre brake lever guarantees superior braking performance from any grip position. The pivot point has been moved to a new, more effective position. Targeted improvements have been made to achieve higher performance.
