Sram Rival 22 GXP groupset
Sram Rival 22 features the key innovations of the Sram Red 22, including ergonomics and efficiency. The Sram Rival 22 offers twenty-two usable gears, high shifting speed and precision thanks to Yaw derailleur technology, as well as a new, elegant finish. The affordable Rival 22 components provide the gateway to Sram’s 11-speed road bike world
SRAM Rival 22 Aero Glide rear derailleur:
The SRAM Rival Aero Glide 22 rear derailleur is perfectly matched to the Rival 22 11-speed components: exceptionally quiet Aero Glide pulleys, outstanding precision and smooth shifting are the hallmarks of the SRAM Rival 22 rear derailleur. The parallelogram optimisations further increase the shifting speed and precision, as well as the robustness of the component group.
The Rival 22 Wifli rear derailleur with the medium-length cage is always required for the 11-32 cassette.
SRAM Rival 22 Yaw front derailleur
Instead of simply moving back and forth, the derailleur cage now traces a small arc, maintaining a constant angle to the chain. This is the new Yaw technology. It enables trim-free shifting. Compatible with almost every conceivable 2x drivetrain, the SRAM Rival 22 front derailleur. Possible chainring combinations: 39/53, 36/50, 34/50, 36/52, 38/52, 42/55 teeth, maximum 16-tooth difference between the two chainrings
SRAM Rival DoubleTap brake/shift levers:
The SRAM Rival 22 ErgoDynamics brake and shift levers are the best solution for optimising the contact points between rider and bike. The ErgoDynamic design offers first-class control and comfort, with a new reach adjustment suitable for all hand sizes, plus DoubleTap and ZeroLos for smooth and precise shifting. A larger ErgoBlade lever improves shifting from the lower handlebar positions. The individual Reach Adjus grip width adjustment for brake and shift levers – now even easier to access with a standard Allen key. The new clamp allows for a better fit and adjustment for modern carbon and ergonomic handlebars.
SRAM Rival 22 Brake:
During the development of the Force 22 brakes, particular attention was paid to weight reduction, performance and design. Thanks to Dual Pivot technology and a special pad material, the Rival brakes offer extreme braking power with optimal modulation, low weight and minimal lever force. In the sophisticated design, cold-forged brake arms ensure stability and a special return spring ensures low lever force.
Sram X-Glide R chainrings:
In combination with the Yaw derailleur, the chainrings ensure optimum shifting performance. The rigid X-Glide R chainrings, 5 mm thick and CNC-machined from 7075-T6 aluminium, feature shift pins in a modern design adopted from the SRAM XX. CNC machining allows for precise control of every tooth shape, every ramp and virtually every shifting function of the chainring. Chainrings, chain and derailleur form an integrated system for optimum performance.
SRAM GXP axle:
The GXP crankset axle is largely similar to the Shimano Hollowtech II axle, but instead of a solid 24 mm axle, it has a diameter of 24 mm on the drive side and 22 mm on the left side. Therefore, the axle systems are not compatible with one another.
Compatible bottom bracket shell widths and bottom brackets can be found below
SRAM Rival 22 cassette:
In the optimised design of the Power Glide 1130 cassette, the three large sprockets are mounted on a weight-reducing spider, and the smaller sprockets are refined with shifting channels. This results in a cassette that shifts efficiently and reliably in all situations. Perfectly matched to 11-speed drivetrains and chains, the Rival 22 cassettes offer top performance at an attractive price.
SRAM Rival 22 PC 1130 Chain:
The SRAM Power Chain technology of the PC 1130 chain: Chain assembly with SRAM is safe, simple and reliable thanks to the new Power Lock. The Power Lock can be locked without tools. This special chain link guarantees reliable chain assembly. Due to its very narrow profile, the Power Lock can no longer be opened by hand.
