Shimano DI2 Wireless Unit D-Fly, EW-WU111, Bluetooth, ANT+ interface
Shimano DI2 EW-WU111 Wireless Unit
This transmitter is connected into the wiring of the DI2 components and enables the DI2 components to be programmed via the Bluetooth interface. To use the wireless function, the new BT-DN110 battery or the BM-DN100 battery holder is also required.
In addition, the EW-WU111 wireless unit offers an ANT+ interface for connection to ANT+ compatible devices such as computers and cameras.
Shimano Bluetooth
Communication between the EW-WU111 wireless unit and smartphones or tablets takes place via Bluetooth; using the new E-TUBE app for mobile devices, users can assign functions, configure switch settings, adjust Multi-Shift and Synchro-Shift settings, and install firmware upgrades on the Di2 components.
Shimano D-Fly:
Shimano D-Fly transmits data from the Di2 components wirelessly to a compatible cycle computer using a proprietary ANT or Bluetooth protocol, enabling the rider to view information such as the current gear position or battery charge level on the computer’s screen.
