The ability to shift gears instantly from a time trial handlebar offers a real competitive advantage. Thanks to the electronic transmission of shift commands, these are executed without delay. Furthermore, the shift cables can be routed at any angle and through any bend. Optionally, the SW-R610 secondary shift lever can be fitted, allowing for quick shifting in any riding situation without having to change grip
The 11-speed drivetrain of the new Ultegra generation in its electronic version. The Ultegra 6870 Di2 series builds on the experience gained with the professional components of the Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 9070 series and is also fully compatible with these components. The cable connectors and cables used are identical. The performance and speed of the Ultegra Di2 electronic groupset are on a par with those of the Dura-Ace 9070 Di2 components, but at a significantly lower price. In addition, the Ultegra Di2 groupset features the RD6870 GS rear derailleur. This is required when using the 11-32 cassette.
