This robust and affordable Transmission chain, with its solid pins, is fully approved for e-MTBs.

The GX Eagle Transmission (T-Type) chain is the strongest we have ever produced. It has been specially developed to further optimise the Eagle Transmission and features a completely new, unique T-Type flat-top design. This design not only maximises shifting performance but also enhances the aesthetics of any bike. The solid chain pins also give it incredible strength, specifically designed to withstand the additional torque loads of e-MTBs.

SRAM FlatTop chains:

To offer a wider gear range with smaller steps, the chain needs to be narrower. With the FlatTop chain, SRAM has added material to the flat side of the outer plate to make each individual link more stable. The rivets, inner plates and bushings are hard-chromed; this extends the chain’s lifespan and improves shifting performance even after many kilometres. Furthermore, the bushings on FlatTop chains are larger, which is why they last longer and offer the same efficiency as 11-speed drivetrains. All these technologies mean that the narrower SRAM 12-speed chains last 36 per cent longer than 11-speed chains.
