Sram Rival AXS HRD Disc shift-brake lever:

Fully wireless electronic shifting combined with fully hydraulic disc brakes, HRD. The award-winning eTap shift logic combined with the connectivity of AXS. The Sram Rival AXS eTap shift levers build on this foundation and combine it with the latest technologies. What’s more, they are now even easier to personalise, from customising shift sequences to adjusting lever reach. Sram Rival eTap brake-shift levers feature racing-car-inspired paddle shift logic that virtually eliminates accidental upshifts when downshifting, whilst keeping shifting precise, fast and simple. The ErgoBlade levers and large SRAM eTap shift paddles offer reliable control and good feedback.

SRAM Rival AXS Hydraulic Disc Brake

The disc brakes from the Rival eTap AXS series, designed for brake rotors up to 160 mm. The hydraulic SRAM disc brake offers excellent braking performance with minimal operating forces and precise modulation. The loss of power and friction caused by cable transmission in traditional cable-actuated brakes is eliminated with this system. Braking performance remains consistent in all weather conditions. Thanks to the separation of the rim/tyre from the braking surface, issues with heat build-up are elegantly resolved. Sram uses DOT 5.1 fluid as the brake fluid, which is particularly heat-resistant. The Rival AXS brake calipers feature a straight hose connection.

The SRAM Rival AXS: the 12-speed revolution in an entry-level version. The Rival AXS components offer a wider range, up to 10-36 cassette ratios, smooth gear changes and smarter shifting settings, made possible by AXS and the simplicity of eTap shifting logic, ensuring you always select the right gear. SRAM AXS Access allows you to personalise the groupset directly from your mobile phone and make changes even whilst riding. The SRAM AXS app enables riders to view battery status, adjust component behaviour, personalise shift logic, receive maintenance alerts and update the firmware.

SRAM AXS Technology

AXS is the electronic integration platform that connects SRAM’s electronic bike components and software. AXS components communicate wirelessly using 128-bit encryption. Every time a groupset comprising, for example, shift levers, a front derailleur and a rear derailleur is paired, a unique code is generated to prevent interference with other riders. The SRAM AXS app allows you to view battery status, adjust component behaviour, customise controllers, receive maintenance reminders and update the firmware. This app is available free of charge from the App Store for iOS and Android

SRAM Orbit Technology

Orbit technology uses a special silicone fluid as part of a very lightweight damping system. Compared to a conventional friction clutch system, the technology does not create any additional resistance on the rear derailleur spring during slow or light movement. This means smoother shifting and easier removal of the rear wheel. Whilst riding, the fluid damper keeps the chain reliably under control. With high reliability and chain tension, for 2x and 1x systems.

Flat Mount Standard:

The new Flat Mount caliper standard for road bike brakes reduces weight and offers a significantly sleeker look. With the Flat Mount standard, the rear caliper sits directly on the chainstay, with a bolt spacing of 35 mm; no adapter is required for caliper mounting. The bolts pass through the chainstay from below directly into the brake caliper. A flat adapter is still required on the fork; the fork mount has a bolt spacing of 75 mm and the brake caliper is the same as for the rear wheel. The adapter is screwed onto the rear of the fork leg, with the brake sitting directly on the adapter. By flipping the adapter, the available brake disc sizes of 140 and 160 mm can be changed.

Compatibility:

The SRAM Rival AXS eTap Disc shifter is compatible with all AXS eTap rear derailleurs and front derailleurs, road and MTB. SRAM Flat Mount calipers with straight hose connections can be used. Even if you only intend to use a single-chainring setup, you will need both a right and a left shifter, as each lever has only one switch
