E-Tube Junction Port B Shimano DI2 EW-JC304

Unlike the disc versions, the Ultegra and Dura-Ace 12-speed STI shifters are not wireless and require Junction Port B for cabling. This provides 4 connectors to link the EW SD300 cables to the battery. A total of 5 cables are required: 2 cables approx. 60 cm from the STI to the Junction Port and 1 cable approx. 140 cm from the Junction Port to the battery. Due to its small size, the junction port can be easily stowed in the down tube of the frame without any additional mounting aids. In addition, the 2 cables required to connect the rear derailleur and front derailleur to the battery are also needed

For the installation of the Disc STI levers, which are wireless, only 2 cables are required. From the rear derailleur to the battery, a length of approx. 120 cm is usually sufficient, and from the front derailleur to the battery, a length of approx. 60 cm is usually sufficient. If desired, the Disc levers can also be connected to the battery using cables. In this case, Junction Port B is also required.

The Di2 shifting components are connected to the SD300 battery via plug connections. Unlike the older Di2 11-speed system, the cables are thinner at 2.4 mm and have significantly thinner plugs at 3.45 mm

Plug-and-play functionality ensures easy connection of the cable sets, which are available in various lengths and are therefore suitable for virtually any frame shape. The system can be connected directly to a PC for system diagnostics or to reverse the shifting logic.
