Tune Bubi Headset

Smart riders with tapered forks ride Bubi! Excellent load-bearing capacity. Despite its light weight of just 76g, the sturdy Bubi has everything a headset needs. With 2 angular contact ball bearings. Available in various colours. The lower cup is always black. The clamping mechanism in the steerer tube is typically TUNE: clever, lightweight and, thanks to the included GumGum clamping device with silicone ring, fully compatible with carbon steerer tubes. The carbon cap with aluminium screw is also included in the scope of delivery.

Tune industrial bearings:

Tune uses standardised ball bearings. This means you can also buy replacement bearings in Australia. However, the original Tune bearings have two key differences: the grease fill level, which is usually 30 per cent, is 50 per cent in our bearings. This not only ensures a longer service life but also provides enhanced sealing. Standard bearings usually have a standard bearing clearance.

Zero Stack headset system:

Zero Stack refers to the bearing cups that are fitted into the frame without any lateral protrusion. Zero Stack headsets require frames with a reinforced head tube, as the bearing cups are relatively short and the frame would otherwise be unable to absorb the forces involved. Unlike conventional EC headsets, Zero Stack headset cups are no longer pressed in, but are inserted into the widened head tubes. The advantage lies in the larger bearings, which can then withstand higher loads.
