Cane Creek Forty Headset

The Cane Creek Forty IS41 headset upper and lower cups are designed for frames with an installation dimension of 41 mm at the top and bottom of the head tube, and forks with a steerer tube diameter of 1 1/8 inch / 28.6 mm at the top and 1 1/8 inch / 30 mm at the bottom.

IS41/28.6 top thread:

The IS headset is inserted into the top of the head tube; the frame clearance is 41 mm and the fork steerer tube diameter is 1 1/8 inch / 28.6 mm at the top.

IS41/30 bottom thread:

The IS headset is inserted into the head tube at the bottom; the frame clearance is 41 mm and the fork steerer tube diameter is 1 1/8 inch at the bottom. The headset cone requires a 30 mm seat on the fork at the bottom.

IS/Integrated Standard – fully integrated headset:

Headset assemblies designated IS / Integrated Standard are also referred to as fully integrated headsets. These headsets require a frame designed for this purpose with a raceway for the bearings. Integrated Standard refers to the fact that the bearings are inserted into the head tube without bearing cups, and IS44, for example, refers to the installation dimension, outer diameter of the bearings and inner diameter of the bearings in the frame. These headsets do not require any special tools; the frame is already prepared for them.
