DT Swiss 240 EXP MTB Hub

Disc brake hubs from the DT Swiss 240 EXP series for use on MTBs and DH bikes with a 12x150 or 12x157 mm mounting width. Not compatible with Super Boost 157 frames

With the DT Swiss 240 EXP straight-pull hubs, minimal weight combined with extremely good durability is something of a rarity, particularly in hub construction. The new axle system, with 15 per cent more support width, increases hub stiffness. The ‘EXP’ in the DT Swiss 240 EXP hubs stands for the integration of the gear ring and threaded ring, which reduces the number of components and thus the weight. A single coil spring ensures faster, complete engagement and thus greater reliability. The complete interlocking of the ring gears creates a large contact surface and thus low point loads, resulting in superior reliability. The stainless steel ball bearings have proven to be extremely reliable and durable since the introduction of the 240 hubs. The patented freehub body features interlocking toothed discs. This guarantees loss-free power transmission. Straightpull refers to straight, non-offset spokes. Thanks to this technology, it is possible to achieve an ideal balance between weight and stability.

The proven DT Swiss Star Ratchet System, in the new EXP version with the toothed disc freehub body, allows for easy conversion to various rotor standards.

DT Swiss 240 EXP rear hubs 12x150 mm:

The DT Swiss EXP rear hubs can be converted to the 12x157 mm thru-axle mount. The hub body is wider than on standard hubs and the brake disc mount is positioned further out. Conversion to 142 mm, Boost 148 mm or Super Boost 157 mm is not possible
