DT Swiss 240 EXP MTB Hub

The disc brake hubs from the DT Swiss 240 EXP series for use on MTBs with Super Boost 115 rear ends. The Super Boost 12x157 standard is not compatible with the 12x157 mm DH standard.

With the DT Swiss 240 EXP straight-pull hubs, minimal weight combined with extremely good durability is something of a rarity, particularly in hub construction. The new axle system, with 15 per cent more support width, increases hub stiffness. The ‘EXP’ in the DT Swiss 240 EXP hubs stands for the integration of the gear ring and threaded ring, which reduces the number of components and thus lowers the weight. A single coil spring ensures faster, complete engagement and thus greater reliability. The full interlocking of the ring gears creates a large contact surface and thus low point loads, resulting in superior reliability. The stainless steel ball bearings have proven to be extremely reliable and durable since the introduction of the 240 hubs. The patented freehub body features interlocking toothed discs. This guarantees loss-free power transmission. Straightpull refers to straight, non-offset spokes. Thanks to this technology, it is possible to achieve an ideal balance between weight and stability.

DT Swiss Star Ratchet EXP System:

The tried-and-tested DT Swiss Star Ratchet System, in the new EXP version with the toothed disc freehub body, allows for easy conversion to various rotor standards.

DT Swiss 240 EXP rear hubs Super Boost 12x157mm:

The DT Swiss EXP rear hubs cannot be converted to other mounting widths. The brake disc mount is positioned further out. The Super Boost 12x157 standard is not compatible with the 12x157 mm DH standard. For the 157 mm DH standard, 12x150 mm hubs are required. These can then be converted to a 12x157 mm DH mounting width
