Tune Micro CL Rear Hub:
At first glance, you might think that the Micro hub is a revised version of the KillHill model. In fact, however, it is a completely new design, conceived from scratch and featuring numerous useful improvements.
The new Tune hubs no longer require washers for axial play adjustment, making them much more user-friendly and easier to maintain. Furthermore, Enduro Bearings has been chosen as the main supplier for hub bearings, and all hubs are fitted with new seals, ensuring they are not only lightweight but also incredibly durable.
The Micro consists of a one-piece, CNC-machined aluminium body and two deep-groove ball bearings. The Micro hub is the perfect introduction to the world of lightweight hubs from Tune. Don’t be fooled by its status as an entry-level model: the Micro hub is a true performance marvel. Weighing just 349g (+/- 3%, for the set), it is not only extremely light but, thanks to its classic J-bend flanges, also extremely stable and therefore versatile, even off-road.
Whether on a road bike or a gravel bike, the Micro Hub is the perfect companion for all your adventures, after-work rides or town sign sprints. Naturally, this hub set is also handmade in Germany.
Tune hub bearings:
Two types of ball bearings are available, both from Enduro Bearings: as standard, the Enduro Bearings ABEC5. These high-quality ball bearings offer reliable performance for a wide range of applications. They are characterised by their precision and durability and are an excellent choice for riders who value quality. The Ceramic XD-15 ball bearings. These ceramic hybrid ball bearings are renowned for their exceptional smoothness and durability. The EnduroBearings XD15 ceramic hybrid bearings come with a lifetime warranty, making them the ultimate choice for riders who refuse to compromise on performance and reliability. Ideal for use in the most demanding
Enduro Bearings Ceramic Lifetime Warranty XD15 ball bearings:
The ultimate upgrade. Exclusive to Enduro Bearings, the XD15 ceramic hybrid bearings combine corrosion-resistant, cryogenically treated nitrogen steel raceways with grade 5 silicon nitride ceramic balls in a proprietary process, resulting in the ultimate high-performance bearing setup. The deep-grooved raceways allow for the maximum size of grade 5 silicon nitride ceramic balls, providing a larger contact area and improved performance and longevity. Double-lip labyrinth seals (LLB) protect against the elements and contain 90% Kluber NBU52 grease, which runs better over time and is highly resistant to washout.
The most impressive feature of the XD15 ceramic hybrid bearings is that, unlike other bearings, they actually improve with time and use. As the bearings wear in, the super-hard ceramic balls make the XD15 raceways even smoother. Compared to other ceramic hybrid bearings on the market, which promise speed and performance benefits from day one, Enduro XD15 bearings not only offer the same initial benefits but also become faster and smoother over time and with use, whilst other ceramic hybrid options simply slow down. Enduro Bearing is so confident in the performance of the XD15 ceramic hybrid bearings that they come with a limited lifetime warranty against wear and corrosion.
