The Crank Brothers Egg Beater 3 pedals with Enduro Bearings and Igus II bearings. Still not cheap for a whisk, but really good value for a pedal with this excellent functionality and low weight.

These pedals only start to get clogged with mud and dirt when your colleagues have been struggling with getting on and off for quite some time. As with all Crank Brothers pedals, the spring tension does not need to be adjusted. The flat design allows for extreme lean angles, up to 31 degrees, without the pedals touching the ground.

Crank Brothers clamping mechanism

The clamping arms work like a pair of scissors: the harder you pull on the pedal, the greater the clamping force. This design keeps the release force low, so you don’t have to worry about accidentally unclipping from the pedal during sprints or climbs.
