The Crank Brothers Mallet DH pedals feature large openings, which reduce weight and minimise the surface area for dirt and grime to accumulate. The grip on this pedal is excellent even without being clipped in; the pedal body is flatter in the middle, causing it to almost claw onto your foot. The space around the clip-in mechanism is generously sized, so mud and slush have no chance of getting stuck.
