Shimano XT RD M8000 GS rear derailleur, 11-speed, Shadow Plus, medium-length cage
Shimano XT Rear Derailleur RD M8000
The new Shimano XT 11-speed components, designed for use ranging from cross-country to enduro. Available with a crankset featuring 1–3 chainrings and an 11-speed cassette with 11–40, 11–42 or 11–46-tooth ratios. One of the major advantages of the XT 8000 series is the compatibility of the cassettes with conventional rear wheels. The XT 11-speed cassettes can be fitted to all freehubs designed for 9- and 10-speed Shimano MTB cassettes.
Shimano XT RD-M8000 rear derailleur:
The XT RDM 8000 GS medium cage rear derailleur for use with the XT 2-speed and 1-speed cranksets of the 11-speed series. The XT Shadow Plus 8000 rear derailleur shifts with extreme precision, speed and smoothness. The new, slimmer design, fluorine-coated stainless steel bushings and extremely precise machined fits ensure high shifting precision and a long service life.
Shimano Shadow Plus:
The Shimano Shadow Plus mechanism has been further developed on the XT RD-M8000 rear derailleur. With the ability to adjust the friction damper as desired via a screw mechanism, the system can be tuned to prioritise maximum stability or minimal operating forces. Furthermore, the rear derailleur features an even slimmer profile, which protects it from damage and further reduces operating forces thanks to the shallow angle of engagement.
Shimano XT 8000 Rear Derailleur Compatibility:
The new Shimano 11-speed XT series is only compatible with the XT and XTR 11-speed shift levers SLM 8000 and SLM 9000. The HG-800 chain is recommended. The 11-speed XTR cassettes are also compatible with 9-10-speed Shimano-compatible freehub bodies
