Shimano XT 8250 Rear Derailleur Compatibility:

The new Shimano XT M8250 rear derailleur series is compatible with Shimano Di2 wireless shifters for MTB, road and gravel, and with 12-speed cassettes featuring a 10-51 tooth range. The CN-M8100 chain is recommended. The 12-speed cassettes with a 9-45 tooth range are only compatible with the new Micro Spline freehub bodies

The XT RDM 8250 GS medium cage rear derailleur is designed for use with 12-speed cassettes featuring a 9/10-45 tooth configuration and a single chainring. The XT Shadow PES 8250 rear derailleur shifts with extreme precision, speed and smoothness. The new, narrower design and extremely precise machining ensure high shifting precision and a long service life. With the ability to adjust the friction damper as desired via a screw mechanism, the system can be fine-tuned to prioritise maximum stability or minimal operating forces. Furthermore, the rear derailleur features an even slimmer profile, which protects it from damage and further reduces operating forces thanks to the shallow angle of engagement.
