With the Fizik Antares, Fizik continues its tradition of developing exceptionally comfortable saddles that are lightweight and offer an excellent fit. The Antares features INJECTED EVA PADDING technology. The responsive low-profile cushioning provides support and saves weight. The Microtex cover feels like leather but is significantly more durable. The Antares saddle is part of the Chameleon series and is designed for a sporty yet comfortable riding position

Fizik Antares saddle shape:

The Antares saddles have been developed for riders who adopt a sporty yet comfortable riding position and like to vary their position. The nose of the saddle is more heavily padded and the seat is slightly wider and flatter, whilst the rear of the saddle rises slightly. This ensures good pressure distribution and support when the saddle is set at a moderately raised position.

Fizik Carbon Braided saddle frame:

The carbon frame is made from a 3D weave. Its load-bearing capacity is comparable to that of titanium frames and is 50 per cent higher than that of conventional carbon frames. To increase stability, the carbon tubes are ovalised and their diameter increased to 9 mm. In the area of the seatpost clamp, the tubes are additionally hand-wrapped with polyester fabric tape, whose epoxy resin bonds with the carbon fibres during the baking process. The saddle frame of the Fizik Aantares Carbon allows for adjustment within a range of 75 mm.

Fizik Wing-Flex saddle shell:

Wing Flex technology, a shell that is flexible at the sides, allows the cyclist greater freedom of movement in the thighs whilst seated, thereby increasing pedalling power. The Wing Flex shell flexes downwards in the critical area where the inner thighs come into contact with the saddle, enabling a more efficient and complete range of motion when pedalling. Whether the rider has large or narrow thighs, a wide or narrow pelvis: the saddle adapts to the rider, not the rider to the saddle.

The Antares is a low-profile saddle with a transition from the nose to the wings that enables efficient power transfer in any riding position. Whether you’re tackling a climb or maintaining a high pace on flat terrain, this saddle is designed to support you at all times. A flatter, slightly wider nose makes it easier to slide forwards and backwards, thus providing an optimal base for power transfer. The Antares features an ergonomic cut-out developed on the basis of detailed pressure analysis and in consultation with medical experts, which promotes pressure relief and blood flow.

The Antares 00 was developed for riders looking for a performance saddle without compromising on comfort. As our performance option, the Antares has proven itself with athletes around the world – from road cyclists to cyclocross and cross-country riders. The 00 is the lightest option in our range. It features a flat, injection-moulded EVA padding to save weight. Added to this are an incredibly stiff, modulated full-carbon shell and rails, all designed to improve performance and save weight.
