Fizik Tempo Argo R5 Saddle

The compact Fizik Tempo Argo R5 road bike saddle with a round alloy saddle frame in the more heavily padded Tempo version. The short saddle shape in a short-nose design with progressive, comfortable Type 2 padding is ideal for endurance use.

Fizik Tempo Argo saddle shape:

Designed for long-distance, marathon and endurance riding with the thicker Type 2 padding. The short and wider saddle shape offers perfect power transfer over long distances. The semi-circular saddle shell is particularly flexible at the sides. Suitable for a riding position with moderate elevation of the seat. The composite fibreglass co-injected nylon shell is produced using a special injection process in which a 0.7 mm thick thermoformed carbon layer is overmoulded with a nylon layer reinforced with carbon fibres. Thanks to Fizik’s special proprietary Type 2 foam blend, which is slightly thicker in the area of the seat hump to support a more upright riding position, the Tempo saddles offer a very high level of riding comfort. The padding is slightly softer and more progressive than that used in our pure racing saddles, offering greater comfort over long distances.

Fizik Wing-Flex saddle shell:

Wing Flex technology, a shell that flexes at the sides, allows the cyclist greater freedom of movement in the thighs whilst seated, thereby increasing pedalling power. The Wing Flex shell flexes downwards in the critical area where the inner thighs come into contact with the saddle, enabling a more efficient and complete range of motion when pedalling. Whether the rider has large or narrow thighs, a wide or narrow pelvis: the saddle adapts to the rider, not the rider to the saddle.

The short length of the Vento Argo allows the rider to sit further forward without placing excessive strain on sensitive areas. It also features an ergonomic cut-out, developed using detailed pressure analysis and input from medical experts. The carefully designed shape helps you achieve a better sitting position: the lowered nose supports the pubic bone when the pelvis rotates forwards to transfer more power or adopt a more aerodynamic position.
