Rear shock: RockShox Vivid Coil DH Ultimate
There’s a good reason why everyone loves coil springs – the ride feel is unmistakable – super responsive at the start, with good support in the mid-travel and, thanks to Adjustable Bottom Out (ABO), optimally controlled bottom-out protection at the end of the travel – all for unwavering consistency and optimal predictability. The RC2 damping is designed to harmonise with your suspension fork and the Charger 3.2 damping. The new compression tunings of the primary piston offer reliable mid-stroke support, whilst the intuitively adjustable HSC/LSC controls make setup quick, straightforward and easily reproducible. Vivid Coil Ultimate DH brings decades of experience with coil springs to a shock designed for modern downhill bikes, ushering the distinctive legacy of the coil spring into a new era of performance.
Standard shock mount:
For frames with this shock mount, shock bushings are required for the shock head and shaft during installation.
ATTENTION: To fit a shock, mounting bushings are required to adapt to the respective frame. We offer these bushings separately. Please ensure that the bushings fit exactly. If possible, determine the required dimension using a feeler gauge.
RockShox Bottom-Out:
The adjustable bottom-out (ABO) offers a practical control with five different compression settings, allowing you to adjust the damping over the final 20% of travel.
NEW Base Valve with 40% less influence from the IFP piston, making the Vivid Coil the most responsive and traction-rich shock on the market.
NEW Numbered compression adjuster for an even more intuitive setup – start at 0 and simply increase (+) or decrease (-) the damping.
NEW Compression tune of the primary piston with a focus on mid-stroke support, functionally modelled on the performance of the Charger 3.2 damping.
Removable rebound adjuster (LSC) functions to adjust both the HSC and the ABO.
With 20 clicks in the rebound adjustment and consistent rebound curves, it offers a wide range of settings, enabling a broad spectrum of riders to achieve a consistent ride feel.
RockShox Coil:
The classic steel suspension of the Vivid Coil shock offers superb responsiveness without any breakaway torque. You can adjust the RockShox Vivid perfectly to your weight and preferred response. The air volume is regulated via a valve in both the negative and positive air chambers
