Pirelli Cinturato Gravel RC X folding tyre

The Cinturato Gravel RC X stands for Race, and the X for the new Techwall Gravel technology, featuring an additional bead-to-bead protective layer.

The tyre tread pattern and SpeedGRIP rubber compound are the answer: fast on the straights, thanks to minimal lug spacing on the central tread, and aggressive in the corners with taller, more substantial lugs that support cornering handling. The TechWALL carcass with extra nylon and aramid fabric reinforcements increases puncture resistance and stabilises the tyre on wide rims and when riding with low tyre pressure.

Pirelli SpeedGRIP technology:

The SpeedGRIP rubber compound is a special tyre compound developed from Pirelli’s involvement in the World Rally Championship, where speed, grip and changing road and off-road conditions are crucial. This experience, combined with a new polymer matrix rubber compound, reduces rolling resistance whilst maintaining energy efficiency. The result is a balanced blend of power transmission and secure traction without compromising on grip.

Pirelli TechWALL Gravel X technology:

To develop a tyre that meets all the demands of gravel racing on challenging surfaces, Pirelli engineers combined the technologies of the road-specific reinforced carcass with MTB-specific technology. This combination resulted in a tubeless-ready construction featuring a reinforced, cut-resistant 60-tpi fabric that extends beyond the tread line, as well as a bead-to-bead protective layer. Despite its improved puncture protection, the Techwall X Gravel carcass offers high rolling efficiency and riding comfort

The TechWALL casing is a combination of a road-specific and an MTB-specific Pirelli casing. It consists of a cut-resistant nylon fabric construction across the entire circumference of the tyre, which prevents sharp objects from penetrating the sidewalls and tread. An extra aramid fabric reinforcement at the tyre bead stabilises the tyre on the rim and when riding with low air pressure. The result is excellent puncture resistance and a smooth ride in every situation.
