Tyre: Maxxis Ardent E-Bike Silkshield MaxxPro

The Ardent E-Bike is an all-mountain/trail tyre. An aggressive tread pattern on a high-volume carcass, designed for good traction but fast enough for racers. Large block-shaped shoulder knobs grip firmly with numerous edges in fast corners. The centre of the tread features bevelled knobs to minimise rolling resistance. In the version for fast e-bikes, the Ardent features our Silkshield puncture protection system and is certified to the ECE-R75 standard. A very good all-round tyre that excellently fulfils the need for increased puncture protection, even on a non-motorised MTB.

Maxxis EXP Protection

This extremely cut- and abrasion-resistant material protects the sidewalls of various MTB tyres. It is very densely woven, lightweight and highly flexible. As a result, the tyres’ performance remains consistently impressive.

Tubeless Ready, TLR

Tubeless tyres offer many advantages: you can ride with lower air pressure. This provides better traction and reduces rolling resistance. And with no inner tube, the risk of punctures is also reduced. MAXXIS TLR tyres are better suited for fitting with sealant than other Tubeless Ready tyres. The bead of the TR tyres is completely covered with a rubber layer, just like on a genuine UST tubeless tyre. This means that tubeless fitting on all rims of standard dimensions is successful from the very first inflation and with very little sealant.

SilkShield provides all-round Silkworm protection, from rim to rim, thereby preventing cuts and other damage to the tyre sidewalls and beneath the tread.

Maxxis Maxxpro

The MaxxPro Compound is the first tyre compound for bicycle tyres in which the components have been ground extremely finely. This compound is ideal for everything from all-mountain to downhill: more grip, good damping properties, long service life, low rolling resistance. And no tread separation.
