Maxxis Minion DHF 27.5-inch tyre, width 2.50, WT, DD, 3C MaxxGrip, TR folding tyre
Tyre: Maxxis MINION DHF
The Minion DHF combines tried-and-tested features such as bevelled knobs for low rolling resistance and smooth running with longitudinally slotted knobs for grippier edges. This gives it excellent directional stability and precise cornering. It is the benchmark for fast trails, from light freeride to hard downhill. The Minion DHF is constantly updated and supplemented with new versions. New additions include Enduro versions in all three MTB tyre sizes and the Maxxis TR, Tubeless-Ready versions.
2.60WT-wide tyres generally have a WT construction, but no WT marking on the tyre sidewall.
Maxxis WIDE TRAIL CASING, WT
The Wide Trail construction optimises the tread pattern and tyre shape for today’s modern, wider rims. Traditional tyres are designed for narrow rims and take on an overly angular shape on wide rims, resulting in less than optimal performance. WT tyres are optimised for an inner rim width of 35 mm, but perform excellently on all rims with an inner width between 30 and 39 mm.
The following MTB tyre widths are available in WT construction:
2.40WT
2.50WT
2.60WT wide tyres generally feature a WT construction, but do not have a WT marking on the tyre sidewall.
Maxxis 3C MAXX GRIP
Superior racing performance thanks to three different rubber compounds in different positions on the tread. The base layer ensures low rolling resistance and stability of the tread blocks. The compound in the centre of the tread provides optimum grip on any surface, whilst the extremely cushioned compound on the shoulder blocks ensures the best possible cornering grip.
Maxxis DOUBLE DOWN
Doubledown tyres are constructed like Maxxis Downhill tyres: two casing plies reinforced with a butyl insert in the sidewall. However, thanks to two 120 TPI casing plies and an aramid bead, they are significantly lighter than Maxxis Downhill tyres, considerably more stable and robust, and therefore ideal for tough enduro courses.
Maxxis Tubeless Ready, TR
Tubeless tyres offer many advantages: you can ride with lower air pressure. This provides better traction and reduces rolling resistance. And with no inner tube, the risk of punctures is also reduced. MAXXIS TR tyres are better prepared for fitting with sealant than other Tubeless Ready tyres. The bead of TR tyres is completely covered with a rubber layer, just like a genuine UST tubeless tyre. This means that tubeless fitting on all rims with standard dimensions is successful from the very first inflation and with very little sealant.
