The Gravel Grinder is the all-round gravel tyre. It is therefore particularly at home on long distances over unpaved paths. But this durable tyre with a puncture protection insert also performs well in everyday use. The low-profile tread keeps rolling resistance low, whilst the taller side knobs provide the necessary grip in corners. The folding tyre features a 120 TPI nylon casing and aramid puncture protection, an additional layer of high-strength fabric between the casing and the tyre to reduce the risk of punctures.

TLR Series Vulcanised Tubeless Ready with Nylon Superlight Casing

• Vulcanised tyres made from natural rubber offer excellent value for money and high durability, albeit at the expense of comfort and performance.
• Nylon is a carcass braid available in three main thread counts – 33, 60 and 120 TPI (threads per inch) – and is wound around a steel or aramid bead. The nylon braid is dipped in a bath of butyl rubber and then calendered between large steel rollers to produce the finished casing. In bicycle tyres, nylon offers excellent value for money due to its low price and comparatively simple processing.

• Perfectly suited for use with tubeless systems: no inner tube, strong puncture protection and high efficiency.

Vulcanised synthetic rubber

• To combine a long service life with good riding characteristics, synthetic rubber is vulcanised and hardened. The result is Challenge’s Vulcanized Clincher range: smooth-rolling tyres with high grip and good comfort at an affordable price.
