Crossride UB 26 Wheel Set

The Mavic Crossride UB wheelsets are specially designed to withstand the stresses of rim brake use. They feature oversized hubs, H2 cold-forged rims and Selflock spoke locks. Wheelsets for rim brakes are becoming increasingly rare on the market. Weighing just 1700 grams, the Crossride UB wheelsets are among the lightest in their class.

Mavic Crossride rims:

Sturdy aluminium rims for use with rim brakes. Retrofitted brake flanges ensure better braking performance and prevent unpleasant brake judder. The Crossride rims are hardened using the H2 Hammer Hardening process and designed for tyres up to 2.3 inches wide. Mavic Hammer Hardening 2. The special cold hardening in the critical spoke hole area effectively prevents the formation of micro-cracks and significantly extends the rims’ service life.

Mavic Crossride hubs

High-quality hubs with FTS-X freehub and QRM bearings. The FTS-X (Force Transfer System X) steel freehub body is specially designed for the toughest MTB conditions. Reinforced pawls and a self-locking axle mount optimise the stability of the freehub. And a new type of lip seal reduces friction by half. Mavic QRM industrial bearings can withstand lateral loads and are also adjustable – this quality is unique to Mavic hubs. Thanks to their double seals, they are extremely durable. Crossride hubs are only available in the quick-release version

Mavic Crossride spokes

High-strength stainless steel aero spokes, secured against twisting using the Mavic Self-Lock System. The special shape of the spoke thread acts as an anti-twist mechanism. The spoke remains firmly screwed into the spoke nipple and loses no tension whatsoever. This means the wheel remains perfectly centred at all times.
