ARC 1400 DICUT® DB

The new ARC 1400 DICUT wheelsets, featuring the AERO+ rim profiles, also impress with the new 1400 DICUT aero hubs. These wheelsets set a new standard in aerodynamics and handling. Working closely with the aero experts at SWISS SIDE, we have achieved reduced sensitivity to crosswinds and improved the overall aerodynamics of the wheelsets. In moderate crosswinds, the rider benefits from the propulsion provided by the sail effect, as well as a stable aerodynamic position with full control over the bike. High-quality DT Swiss Aero spokes and the lightweight 240 DICUT Aero hub with the reliable Ratchet EXP system for direct drive round off this wheelset.

The new DT Swiss ARC 1400 wheelset series with a 20 mm rim width and EXP hubs, the more affordable version of the ARC 1100 with stainless steel bearings and AeroComp spokes, offers the same outstanding aerodynamic properties as the ARC 1100 series. In close cooperation with the aero experts at SWISS SIDE, reduced sensitivity to crosswinds and an improvement in the overall aerodynamics of the wheelsets have been achieved. In moderate crosswinds, the rider benefits from the propulsion provided by the sail effect as well as a stable aerodynamic position with full control over the bike.

The Aero Disc wheelset for marathon and race bikes. The 80 mm high and 33 mm wide elliptical full-carbon aero rim allows the use of wide, excellent-rolling tubeless tyres; the asymmetrical design provides very high lateral stiffness for maximum steering precision. The DT Swiss ARC 1400 Dicut Disc wheels are lightweight, weighing just approx. 1853 grams with an 80 mm rim height. Finally, the patented EXP Ratchet System guarantees durability and easy wheel maintenance. DT Swiss ARC 1400 Dicut hubs:

The ARC Dicut hubs are perfectly matched to the Nail Häd spoke system and offer the best aerodynamics of any DT Swiss hub. Equipped with high-quality stainless steel bearings and a widened flange spacing for optimum lateral stiffness at low weight. The ratchet body with Ratchet Star pawl is virtually maintenance-free and easy to convert.

DT Swiss ARC 1400 Dicut Disc compatibility:

The DT ARC 1400 Dicut Disc front wheel hub is compatible with quick-release and 12x100 mm thru-axles; the DT ARC 1100 Dicut Disc rear wheel hub is compatible with quick-release, thru-bolt, 12x135 mm and 12x142 mm thru-axles. When used with Campagnolo and Micro Spline freehub bodies, only quick-release and 12x142 mm end caps are available. DT Swiss ARC 1400 Dicut rims:

The ARC 1400 carbon rims, developed entirely in collaboration with Swiss Side, offer the best aerodynamics and excellent handling in all wind conditions. Extensively tested and optimised in the wind tunnel, the ARC 1400 rims offer the best compromise between aerodynamics and handling. The finish is applied using a new process and does not affect aerodynamics in any way. With a 20 mm inner rim width, they are ideal for tyres from 25 mm wide and, of course, tubeless-ready.

Hooked / Crotchet tubeless TC:

‘Hooked’ or ‘Crotchet’ refers to the shape of the rim flange, which features a so-called hook. This aids in securing the tyre bead and ensures reliable performance, even when using high tyre pressure (> 5 bar). ‘Tubeless’ means that the rim can be ridden without an inner tube, though a setup with an inner tube is also possible.

DT Swiss ARC 1400 Dicut spokes:

The lacing pattern, using the Nail Head System and straight-pull spokes, ensures that the spokes cannot twist under load, meaning they always remain at the most aerodynamically favourable angle. The DT Swiss Aerocomp spokes, in combination with the internal Prolock Hidden spoke nipples, ensure outstanding aerodynamics.

DT Swiss EXP Star Ratchet Freehub:

The proven DT Swiss Star Ratchet System in the new EXP version, featuring a toothed disc freehub body, allows for easy conversion to various axle or rotor standards. The integration of the toothed disc and threaded ring reduces the number of components, thereby lowering the weight. A single coil spring ensures faster, complete engagement and thus greater reliability.

The DT Swiss Star Ratchet EXP rear hubs can be easily converted to fit standard mountings: 10x135 quick-release, 12x135, and 12x142 mm X12 thru-axle mountings. The new end caps with an even more precise fit ensure even greater durability. The rear hubs can be converted to Campagnolo ED, N3W, Shimano HG Microspline and Sram XDR, XD freehub bodies without the need for tools.
